Instructor: Smita Daya, Ayurveda Practitioner
Smita has been practicing Ayurveda for over 15 years. In this workshop she will discuss in depth the Garbha Sanskar (is an ancient practice that translates to “education in the womb”) pregnancy care thoroughly. Healthy mothers and babies are the objectives of this workshop, which will cover one year prior to conception for both partners, pregnancy, postnatal care and the first year of the infant care in a holistic way.
Smita’s goal is to make a difference by educating, inspiring, and empowering individuals to heal in a way that promotes happiness, connectedness and heightened spiritual awareness. Her services include consultations, teaching various aspects of Ayurveda, and hands-on Ayurvedic cooking classes. Smita recently moved to Florence, Italy and hopes to rejuvenate your tastebuds, your mind and beauty, and bring bliss through the lens of Ayurveda!
Smita is a perpetual learner, always diving in to deepen her understanding of the vast wealth of wisdom about how to live a healthier and more joyful life. She is passionate about self-growth, Ayurveda and nutrition. Early in 2024, she started her Ayurvedic Practitioner program to specialize more deeply in the Ayurvedic approach to women’s health. This program took Smita to India to work more closely with Ayurvedic Doctors in clinical internships at Gomantak Ayurvedic Hospital and Teaching University in Shiroda near Goa, India, and at the Himalayan Heal in Sidhpur on the outskirts of Dharamshala and the foothills of the Himalayas, India.
Smita’s studies in Ayurveda have introduced her to some amazing gurus, experts, and mentors, such as Myra Lewin, Victor Briere, A.D., Dr. David Frawley, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr’s Rani and Tarun Gupta, Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar, Dr. Neelesh Korde, Dr, Sumod Khedekar, Dr. Vikas Saroch, Dr. Neetika Kundailia and Dr. Nutan Pakhare.
