Yoga Philosophy, Science, and Application
This course will help you learn how to bring yoga philosophy both into your personal practice and into the classes you teach. We will focus on themes from foundational yogic texts such as the upanishads, yoga sutras of patanjali, bhagavad gita, and the recognition sutras. Topics such as the yogic concept of the mind, essential nature as equanimity and joy, ethical inquiry, harmonious living and right action will be covered from these texts and paralleled with other philosophies and scientific understandings and benefits for a whole-person perspective on well-being.
The workshop will include yoga practice, yoga nidra and discussion.
