EmPowerFlow Yoga: Exploring Neutral, the Sattvic Principle – Weekend 3
August 14 & 15, 2021
14 Total YA approved hours
EmPowerFlow Yoga is based on the asanas/poses of Hatha Yoga and the energy principles of Polarity Therapy. Asanas vitalize both the physical and subtle anatomy of the human body. Polarity therapy, based on the Ayurvedic and yogic model of energy relationships, outlines three forces of energy called the Gunas, i.e, the qualities of energy allowing all of creation. This weekend is focused on the sattvic principle of neutrality, essence and stillness.
Within all motion is stillness. To change gears we must go through neutral; a moment of tuning into the inner guidance. Slowing down, tapping in to this space promotes each next pose to be practiced with mindfulness and safety. Neutral is the space that allows the ‘more’ of insight, knowledge and self realization to come through. Sinking into meditation becomes easier. Flowing into postures becomes more graceful. Your unique expression as a being and a teacher naturally comes through.
This weekend will be highly experiential as we dive into the process of what my dear teacher Erich Schiffman calls, “moving into stillness.”
Our class gathering is to explore the universe of yoga, a universe that is within each of us…..the following will be included:
- Explore the concept of space, inner and outer
- How does space hold the earth?
- Outline the 3 Gunas and the inherent nature of their function
- How can we possibly slow down and still our very busy minds?
- What is exhaustion?
- Asana flow, easy and intense, release blocked energy felt as pain, stiffness, fear
- EmPowerFlow Yoga empowers us to be more of who we truly and naturally are
As we gather together, we ignite a co-creation of conscious intention to awaken the light in all beings. We sit, breathe, and move together on this leading edge of expansion. This is such a profound time of breaking through the constrictions of our personal past as well as the isolation in the world.
You are invited to bring All of you. Ask the ‘crazy’ questions like what was life really like for me pre-pandemic? What are the little, or now maybe louder, whispers that are calling for your attention.
Did you miss Weekends 1 & 2? No problem! Thanks to the pandemic, ironically, we have both weekends on video available for purchase for $95 each (Save $55) with your paid registration for Workshop 3.
Contact Donna Futrell with any questions at 678-230-3452 or [email protected]
Although not a requirement, you will get a really good feeling for the class flow and a lot of good information regarding the Rajasic and Tamasic Gunas.
Then all 3 weekends come together on our 4th and final training weekend on October 9 & 10, 2021, Integration.
For those who are registered you are invited into our monthly zoom study group. In completion of all 4 weekends, you will receive a certificate as an EmPowerFlow Yoga Teacher.
“There are no limits to your being, only those you ascribe to yourself.
There are no limits to your understanding, only those that are due to trying to understand with the mind.
There is no limit to your light, except the dark shadows of the ego cast upon the sky which we call the self.
Shake your soul! Awaken it from slumber!
The time has come to awaken to your divine being.”
